When Joanna, a musician new to the post-punk scene in 1979 Manchester, loses herself through loving a jaded lead singer for all the wrong reasons, she must face pain and loss in order to feel confident on her own again and impact people with her music.

The majority of the graphics for Lovesong were created with Midjourney due the large demand, 4-day set turn around, and the school's small art department spread amongst several thesis films. Photoshop was often used to remove AI gibberish and replace it with handwritten band names and dates.
These images were created at the start 2023, not long after my peers and I were introduced to Midjourney. As an artist, I want to acknowledge the negative impact of AI-generated art and prioritize real, genuine artwork moving forward. While UNCSA is an educational setting, I've since learned and come to understand that AI is a danger to the integrity of art and our environment. I look forward to working with professional graphic artists throughout my career.
A multitude of graphics were created by cut and pasted pictures, words, and phrases from mid to late 20th century magazines. Dubbed hero graphics, these can be seen in close-ups.
